Vita

After studying industrial engineering at TU Darmstadt, Mr. Stiebel worked for three years in an international consumer goods group. He then became a managing partner in the parent company of the Stiebel Eltron Group. Since 1984 Dr. Stiebel has been a member of the supervisory board of the Stiebel Eltron Group, which belongs to one of the leading German manufacturers in the field of heat pumps and solar thermal energy. Dr. Stiebel received his doctorate in Technology Management (business administration, Dr. oec.) at the University of St. Gallen.

As the owner and managing director of the ASV Stübbe Group in Vlotho, Dr. Stiebel has been associated with Lipperland for over 40 years.

He has been a member of the University Council of the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences since 2010.

 

Commitment to research

In his own construction projects, such as Brombeerweg, Holzminden (EXPO2000 project), Chaostagehaus Hannover (old building renovation in passive house standard) or currently the Lupinenweg micro-district, Holzminden he has achieved energetically demanding goals.
This is also the basis for Mr. Stiebel's motivation and interest in joining the advisory board of Future Energy. The energy transition opens up new opportunities, especially for rural areas. With its focus, Future Energy makes an important contribution to this.
In addition to the university commitment, Mr. Stiebel is also active in social work. He is the founder and member of the board of the "Foundation for the welfare of the foster child" and member of the board of trustees in various other foundations (e.g. HAWK University Foundation, Braunschweig Foundation).
