Aims

Our world at the end of the second decade of the 21st century is not only characterised by a growing need for mobility, but above all by an increasing variety of forms of mobility. There is a broad consensus in society regarding the requirements for future mobility concepts. On the one hand, these must be CO₂-neutral and sustainable, on the other hand they must be available and suitable for everyday use. As a result, a drive mix based on mobility needs with a significantly more environmentally friendly energy base will prevail.

The combustion engine as the backbone of mobility must be more environmentally and climate friendly. Its exhaust emissions and the almost unchecked use of fossil resources for mobility are increasingly criticized. In order to survive in the future in competition with electromobility, alternative fuels have to provide evidence of low greenhouse gas emissions, avoid competition for the use of their raw materials with food production and for acreage, and ideally be produced with regenerative surplus electricity. From a technical point of view, the interactions of future fuels with conventional and other alternative fuels as well as with the engine and engine oil and not least the exhaust gas aftertreatment must be examined. The operational safety and service life of application technologies with new fuels must remain guaranteed.

The conference is aimed at technical / scientific experts, company decision-makers, doctoral students and students who are looking for an opportunity to discuss their ideas and possible solutions to today's and future challenges in an interdisciplinary specialist audience.
