Summer party 2017 - Heat, thunderstorms and a good mood: The summer party met all expectations

On 19 July 2017 the first iFE summer party took place. The weather god meant well (at first): Armed with sunscreen and sun hats almost 20 hiking enthusiasts started their 10 km long tour of Lipperland at about 29°C. Despite the heat, the good mood on the route from Dalborn (near Blomberg) to Lemgo could not be dampened. On arrival in Lemgo a well-stocked barbecue buffet was already waiting, so that the exertions of the hike were forgotten!

For some employees the hike through Lipperland was the first time in their university career. The bus went first to Dalborn (Blomberg). From here, the participants hiked through the Passade valley to the inn "Zur Ortmühle". After a short rest and refreshments, the hike continued on the Runenweg through Oberwiembeck to Wiembecker Berg. During a second stopover in the shade of the trees, there were cool drinks and snacks to strengthen ourselves for the ascent up the Biesterberg. On arrival at the top of the Biesterberg, the participants were rewarded with a clear and beautiful view of Lemgo, before heading back to the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences.

At the finish, a well-stocked barbecue buffet was already waiting for the hikers. The evening ended with food and music. The sudden change in the weather caused a little unrest: All those involved had to take action again and prove their spontaneity in regard to "taking shelter". However, this did not dampen the good mood among the employees!
