Model-based dimensioning of energy storage and systems

Energy stores are generally designed without considering all information and, above all, without considering all energy stores in an overall system. For this reason, the size and performance of a memory are often not optimally matched to the overall system. In research, the iFE deals with model-based dimensioning, in which all electrical and thermal storage devices are considered together with the time-resolved electrical and thermal consumption. The optimal storage parameters are determined from this data in model-based simulations.
