Control of Electrical Drives

Objectives:
Design of controlled electrical drives based on DC and AC ma-chines.
Lectures:
Design of current loop using vector modulation, design of overlaid speed and position control loops; additional features as feed-forward controls, disturbance observer and compensation measures.
Exercises:
Exercises are used to consolidate topics from the lecture based on practice-oriented tasks focusing on controlled electrical drives.
Labs:
Implementation of designed real-time control algorithm and experimental validation by use of a drive system with PMSM.
