Measurement Techniques

Objectives:
The students are able to plan and perform measurements. In doing so they are capable of identifying error sources and of deriving appropriate error estimations. The students are familiar with different measurement methods and measurement tools for electrical values.
Lectures:
Measurement, scales, SI system, unsteadiness, deviances, meas-urement errors, distributions, error calculation, measuring the units of the SI system, measuring electrical values (analog, digital), signal processing
Labs:
Basics of experimenting, electrical measurements with oscilloscope, sig-nal generator, current clamps and multimeter, error recognition and trouble-shooting
