Patrick Ehlert

Forschungstätigkeit / Research activities:

Im Rahmen der Forschung beschäftigt sich Patrick Ehlert mit den fertigungstechnischen Anforderungen und werkstoffspezifischen Analysen sowie der Projektleitung und -organisation. Sein Schwerpunkt liegt im Bereich der Technologieentwicklung mit dem Fokus auf Coated Metal Interconnect Devices (CMID).

In the context of research, Patrick Ehlert deals with manufacturing requirements and material-specific analyses as well as project management and organisation. His focus is on technology development with a focus on Coated Metal Interconnect Devices (CMID).

Berufstätigkeit / Employment:

Zu Beginn seiner Berufstätigkeit absolvierte Patrick Ehlert eine Ausbildung als Werkzeugmechaniker in Fachrichtung Formbau bei der Firma Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG. Anschließend waren seinen Tätigkeiten in der Qualitätssicherung zur Erstmusterprüfung im Technikum des Werkzeugbaus des Ausbildungsunternehmens gefragt. Parallel zu dieser Anstellung verfolgte Ehlert die Ausbildung zum Industriemeister für Kunststoff und Kautschuk. Während des Bachelorstudiums arbeitete er im Rapid Prototyping Labor sowie im Labor der Kunststofftechnik an der Technischen Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe (TH OWL). Im Masterstudium unterstützte Ehlert das Unternehmen Material4Print als Projektleiter für interne Projekte. Im Anschluss wurden die Forschungsprojekte RESIAR-MID, 3D-MC2B und MERLIN von ihm im Labor Lasertechnik und Additive Fertigung an der TH-OWL erfolgreich geleitet.

At the beginning of his professional career, Patrick Ehlert completed an apprenticeship as a tool mechanic specializing in mold construction at Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG. Subsequently, his responsibilities were focused on quality assurance for initial sample inspection in the technical department of the toolmaking division of the training company. Parallel to this position, Ehlert pursued training to become an Industrial Master for Plastics and Rubber. During his bachelor's studies, he worked in the Rapid Prototyping Laboratory as well as the Plastics Engineering Laboratory at the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL). In his master's studies, Ehlert supported the company Material4Print as a project manager for internal projects. Following that, he successfully led the research projects RESIAR-MID, 3D-MC2B, and MERLIN in the Laser Technology and Additive Manufacturing Laboratory at the TH-OWL.

Akademische Ausbildung / Academic education:

Das Bachelorstudium der Produktionstechnik mit Schwerpunkt auf Kunststofftechnik absolvierte Ehlert im Jahr 2017 an der Technischen Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe (TH OWL). Im Anschluss darauf folgte das Masterstudium im Bereich Produktion und Management an der TH-OWL, welches er im Jahr 2019 erfolgreich beendete.

Ehlert completed his bachelor's studies in Production Engineering with a focus on Plastics Engineering in 2017 at the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL). Following that, he pursued a master's degree in Production and Management in the same institution, which he successfully completed in 2019.
